I think the way you placed the horizon line in this image helps make this image really beautiful. I think the sky also makes this image. The whole thing is very organic with all the organic shapes and the cacti helps ground the image with the vertical lines they create.

Because you consider this scene to be “worthy of aesthetic observation and contemplation” (Barrett), this image would be placed in the aesthetically evaluative category. Line and texture are the design elements that dominate this photograph. The clean, diagonal horizon line provides a sense of movement and energy. Diagonal wisps at the bottom of the cloud repeat the line of the hill. The left end of the cloud appears to touch the hill creating a blue triangle of sky that carries almost the same visual weight as the green triangle of the hill. Use of rule of thirds is seen in this image even though the three areas are created with diagonal lines. The vertical lines of the cactus create a connection between the hill and the sky. The density of the visual texture of the vegetation is in contrast to the more subtle texture of the clouds. This creates visual interest and visual depth.
